What, why, and for how long

Item	Purpose	Period
Passport name, nationality, date of birth	Identifying you and preparing the amended return	1 year after the refund process ends
Mobile number	Confirming it is you, telling you how it is going	1 year after the refund process ends
Bank, account number, holder name	Confirming where the refund goes	1 year after the refund process ends
Family details	Working out which deductions apply	1 year after the refund process ends
Submitted documents	Checking eligibility and filing	1 year after the refund process ends
Access logs and IP	Preventing misuse, records required by law	2 years

You may refuse. But these items are necessary for a tax refund application, so if you refuse we cannot provide the Service.

Your foreign registration number is not included here. The law requires separate consent for it, so it is asked separately.
